The original creative idea to create aromatic “portraits” resulted in a whole perfume collection of exquisite perfumes from the British niche house Penhaligon's, where each fragrance corresponds to its own image of a real person. In 2020, perfumers presented the unusual oriental woody elixir Penhaligon's The Inimitable William Penhaligon, which became the own scent of the founder of the exclusive brand - the inimitable William Penhaligon.
Rich and luxurious, this scent is like a painting applied to canvas with wide and confident strokes, in which the hand of an experienced master is felt. The composition either lifts to heaven with warm oriental wood accords, then again throws shades of juicy southern citruses into the ice abyss.
The pyramid opens with a powerful, energetic burst of sunny bergamot and delicate jasmine floral vibes. The tart bitterness of citrus gracefully flows into the pine-earthy heart of the scent, wrapped in a warm blanket of smoky vetiver, incense and rough cedar woody fluids. Silky, like expensive oriental velvet, the sillage of the perfume is woven from the creamy melodies of sandalwood, enhanced by the ambroxan molecule. Once upon a time, Sir William himself created unique fragrances for the most senior and influential persons - Queen Victoria and the Persian Shah himself, who proudly wore these mesmerizing perfumes of the highest quality.
Years have passed and now, the long-awaited novelty of Penhaligon's The Inimitable William Penhaligon is also in no way inferior in beauty and exclusivity to those very first fragrances and deserves to adorn the images of the most respectable persons of modern society.
